Introducing Paris
My journey to supporting women through Bloom Essentials began five years ago when I went on a personal deep dive into health and what it means to be a woman. I had been on the pill for the last ten years and never known what it felt like to have a natural menstrual cycle. When my fiancé and I bought our first home in the Dandenong Ranges I decided it was time to see how my body worked without intervention. I spent six months educating myself and along the way met and discovered some influential females who helped to shape my view on health. The process coming off the pill for me was simple and seamless and I attribute that to the healthy nutrition, mindset and movement practices I adopted.
This got me really excited about the female bodies capabilities and I wanted to integrate this knowledge into my work. As if the universe couldn’t have timed it any better, in my last year of uni studying a Masters in Physiotherapy I completed a project to contribute new ideas to the profession. I created an eBook on how to train and eat around the menstrual cycle and won the award for the best women’s health project. This experience truly highlighted to me the extensive knowledge and intense passion I have for women’s health. It reinforced my commitment to advocating for and supporting the unique needs of women in healthcare.
Naturally I was drawn to a job that harnessed this passion and started working at a Women’s Health Physiotherapy clinic where I primarily saw women in the pre and post natal period of life. I LOVED it. I was taking pregnancy pilates classes, seeing clients individually for pregnancy related pains and helping them to achieve their post partum goals. However, my favourite aspect of that job was the vulnerability and trust these women had when working with me. I made beautiful connections and consider many of them friends now.
The downside to working in a private practice is that I can only help one woman at a time! I often recommend the same products, give similar advice, and suggest the same exercises. This gave rise to the idea that is now, Bloom Essentials. Creating these trimester boxes with all the essential products I believe women need, based on mine and my clients experiences is a way for me to help more women thrive on their journey to motherhood.
Bloom Essentials for me personally is a way to express and share my passion and knowledge on the world of holistic women’s health. The values of the company; Essentials, Quality and Natural are key values in my personal life. My heart beams with joy at the fact that I can actively support and empower more women to thrive in their lives, and I hope this commitment comes through in all aspects of the business.
